Harambee is a Swahili word meaning “all pull together”. At TCC, that is what we do. This after-school program provides time for work as well as play, as kids meet at Starr Elementary School after classes and finish their homework together. Upon finishing, the children are encouraged to play in the gym or help each other out. Once a week special guests come to help with an art project! Harambee ends with a nutritious dinner provided by Reid Health before the parents arrive! Interested in enrolling in Harambee? Contact us here.

With our partner, MainSource Bank, we are able to provide the basic tools to teach our children as well as their parents why and how to save money. They learn how to write checks, pay bills and maintain accurate records of their finances.
